About the Role



Pan-Pacific Mechanical is seeking experienced Estimators to join its Preconstruction team. There are currently two openings, with one focused primarily on HVAC and one focused primarily on plumbing and process piping.



This position requires experience working within the mechanical contracting industry. The strongest candidates will have direct experience estimating plumbing, HVAC and particularly process-piping systems for complex commercial, industrial and technical facilities.



Projects may include hospitals, biomedical facilities, laboratories, cleanrooms, pharmaceutical environments, high-purity systems, RO/DI systems, fuel-oil systems and other complex process applications.



Responsibilities



• Manage all stages of the estimating and bidding process.



• Perform detailed process-piping, plumbing and/or HVAC takeoffs.



• Read and interpret P&IDs, construction drawings and specifications.



• Develop material and labor cost estimates for large and complex projects.



• Prepare Design-Build, Design-Assist, Plans & Specs estimates and conceptual budgets.



• Attend bid meetings, job walks and preconstruction meetings.



• Prepare bid proposals, bid forms and supporting documentation.



• Review project scopes and new construction contracts.



• Price change bulletins and additional project scope.



• Collaborate across plumbing and HVAC estimating teams on combined pursuits.



• Assist with project budgets and Schedule of Values during project startup.



• Identify value-engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.



• Coordinate with project-management teams after project award.



Required Qualifications



• Five or more years of process-piping and/or mechanical estimating experience strongly preferred.



• Previous experience working for a mechanical subcontractor strongly preferred.



• Strong process-piping knowledge.



• Experience estimating plumbing and/or HVAC systems.



• Ability to read and understand P&IDs.



• Experience performing piping and process takeoffs.



• Experience with Design-Build, Design-Assist and Plans & Specs projects.



• Experience with biomedical facilities, laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, cleanrooms or similar technical environments preferred.



• Proficiency with estimating and on-screen takeoff software.



• Trimble AutoBid experience preferred.



• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Center Site Reliability Engineer to automate operations and maximize the uptime, efficiency, and scalability of data center, facility power/cooling infrastructure, and software automation. In this role, you will manage, monitor, and optimizing both server reliability and the critical power and cooling infrastructure that sustains our distributed production systems.



Key Responsibilities:



· Enhance data center observability, logging, and alerting solutions using Grafana, Splunk, and Prometheus, building dashboards that correlate server health, network telemetry, facility power and cooling performance.



· Develop automation scripts for hardware incident triage, alert noise reduction, log correlation, and operational workflows, converting recurring manual bare-power/cooling infrastructure investigation patterns into reusable tooling.



· Maintain our NetBox data center inventory, building automated pipelines via APIs to track physical infrastructure, rack layouts, and cable topologies.



· Build and tune Grafana dashboards with complex queries spanning multiple data sources (including Prometheus metrics) for server health visualization, bare-metal hardware bottleneck identification, and data center capacity monitoring using power feed and cooling infrastructure metrics.



· Utilize Splunk and relational databases for infrastructure analytics, writing extensive SQL queries and SPL queries to troubleshoot server production issues, identify infrastructure bottlenecks, and surface environmental insights via IPMI interfaces into dashboards.



· Lead incident response and on-call rotations for high-severity data center infrastructure events, directing triage, root cause analysis, mitigation, and resolution for both server-level and facility-level power feed or environmental anomalies.



· Develop and maintain runbooks, hardware operational playbooks, and process documentation for common facility, power feed, and server failure scenarios, standardizing infrastructure SOPs across the SRE organization.



· Collaborate closely with development, hardware engineering, and facility operations teams to integrate observability best practices into the infrastructure lifecycle and embed monitoring into new compute, storage, power and cooling system rollouts.



Qualifications:



· Experience: 8 years of experience in site reliability engineering, production operations, or data center infrastructure management operations.



· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.



· Bare-Metal & Hardware Expertise: Deep hands-on experience troubleshooting, provisioning, and managing enterprise power, bare-metal hardware and server architectures.



· Inventory & Asset Management: Strong proficiency using NetBox (or similar DCIM tools) for managing rack space, device lifecycle, and asset tracking.

Senior DevOps Engineer

Contract Length: 3 months extending - likely 12-18 months

Location: Onsite / Hybrid, WbyT Palo Alto office. Standard PST business hours. Meetings in the late afternoon / early evening with teams in the JST time zone.



The primary responsibility of this role is to drive operational efficiency, automation, and reliability of a framework designed to support the web development software lifecycle--from infrastructure provisioning to frontend and backend development, testing, deployment, security compliance, and observability. This role focuses on automation, managing infrastructure, monitoring systems, and incident response for the ADAS group.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Japan-based DevOps team and Japan- and US-based ADAS engineering teams to ensure streamlined development and reliable deployment of ADAS team web applications.

Incident Response: Provide extended US coverage for SEV-1/SEV-2 incidents during US working hours.

You Bring

· Excellent analytical abilities, technical writing ability, and comprehensive understanding of quality toolbox (IATF 16949, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, GD&T, etc.).

ROLE

This position pay range is $50/hourly - $68/hourly (W2).



Our client, an EV manufacture located in Newark, CA has a need for a Payroll Analyst for an initial 6-month contract.



This position would require to be onsite 5 days a week.



The role

Take ownership of the project plans and processes for expanding payroll internationally, and manage them effectively.
Work in close collaboration with the Payroll Leader, team members, and a selected vendor to ensure successful implementation.
Develop a deep understanding of multiple interrelated payroll processes and tools, and drive project plans with a focus on change management and adoption.
Provide the vendor with necessary inputs for configuration and ensure proper testing of payroll configuration for sign-off.
Ensure proper documentation of processes and anticipate, assess, and manage issues and risks that may arise during the project.
Resolve issues quickly as they arise and identify the root cause while recommending mitigation plans for building.
Operate small country payroll cycles post-launch and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, with a focus on data accuracy and process integrity.
Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Business, HR, Finance, and IT as necessary.
Play a crucial role in ensuring the successful launch of payroll in various countries by contributing to the project's success.


Requirements / Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience either in Payroll operations or Payroll implementation.
Proven work experience in Payroll is a must-have.
Hands-on experience with Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Human Resources Information Systems is required, and diverse HR experience in areas such as payroll, operations, benefits, immigration, etc. is preferred.
Candidates must have experience in either US or international payroll.
Good working knowledge of project management is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to support operations is necessary.
Demonstrated ability to document and improve operational processes is mandatory.
Candidates must be self-starters, who can take the initiative to lead and drive implementation.
A bachelor's degree or certification in operations management, Human Resources Management, or another relevant field, or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with product managers to identify potential opportunities, conceptualize new projects, and assist in defining requirements.
* Estimate time requirements, establish milestones, and meet deadlines by working closely with program and project managers.
* Produce low-fidelity sketches and flows to validate concepts during the initial stage.
* Develop prototypes for user testing and communicate desired interaction to stakeholders.
* Work with a UX researcher to evaluate proposed designs at various fidelity and prototype phases.
* Design high-fidelity, pixel-perfect screen layouts and provide developers with detailed specifications and assets.

Qualifications

* In-depth understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and design trends.

* Proficient in designing for responsive layouts and various devices and platforms.
* Able to work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and create effective design solutions.

* Experience working with researchers to conduct user research, usability testing, and integrating findings into design iterations.

Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer
This position is open for either FTE or Contract
Contract (Contract-To-Hire): This position pays between $50.00 and $75.00 per hour.
Direct: This position pays between $115,000 and $185,000 annual salary.(Based on level)

Job Description:
• Mechanical Design Engineer at the Senior or Staff Engineer level for the New Product Introduction team (NPI).
• Work on linear motor design and participate in the development of new manufacturing techniques, tooling and equipment to deploy at production sites in North America.
• Focus on designing structures to withstand high forces while maintaining or improving functionality and system level performance.
• Design and develop components and subsystems with challenging technical requirements from initial concept through successful manufacturing launch.
• Develop new concepts and manage existing concepts through development, deployment, and manufacturing.
• At staff level, will lead projects with potential for direct reports.
• Lead and participate in brainstorming activities to develop novel ways to improve all aspects of the Linear Generator
• Develop and optimize key mechanical subsystems of the Linear Generator to drive down cost, improve performance, and deliver high reliability
• Work with Reliability and Test teams to validate systems and components with fast cycles of learning for deployment into the next generation of Linear Generators
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing engineering, NPI, and external suppliers to rapidly deploy new designs into production

Required:
• Solid understanding of metal castings, machining, welding/fabrication, bolted connections, datum selection, large tolerance stackup analysis, and finishing processes with the ability to identify and resolve design for manufacturability issues
• Fluent in SolidWorks or comparable CAD package. Experience with using PDM or a similar CAD version control system is preferred
• Interest in developing creative and cost-effective solutions to enable the deployment of zero carbon energy technology at large scale
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering field from an accredited institution. Experience and degree will determine level, but minimum requirements are:
• Senior Level: BS 6 years or MS 5 years
• Staff Level: BS 11 years or MS 10 years
• Share examples of detailed structural FEA analysis of metal structures under extreme loads and fatigue (Portfolio for review preferred)

The Bay Area salary for this role is $118k-$185k base pre-IPO stock options benefits. This position is on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The salary will be adjusted based on the experience of the employee.
